Is Sales OS a CRM?

No. It is focused on active enquiry-to-sale execution: follow-ups, quotations, customer memory and owner visibility — not a generic CRM clone.

Do I have to leave Tally or WhatsApp?

No. Billing stays in Tally (or Busy / Zoho). Chat stays on WhatsApp. Sales OS is the operating layer for enquiry-to-sale.

Is the catalogue an online shop?

No. The buyer sends an enquiry. Checkout is Order Card — a separate product.

Is there a payment gateway?

Not in the app yet. Quotes can print bank / UPI details.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Phone-first. Salespeople can install it or bookmark it.
